Alex Comfort

An author of at least 50 books, Comfort is best known as the author of 1972's The Joy of Sex, the "gourmet guide to lovemaking". More than 12 million copies have been sold in two dozen languages. He also wrote novels, poetry, philosophy, and scientific texts, as well as two sequels to his best-seller on sex. Comfort died March 26 in Oxfordshire, England. He was 80.
