On the classic Lassie TV show, which ran from 1958 to 1964, Reilly played Paul Martin, the father of often-in-jeopardy Timmy (Jon Provost); June Lockhart played wife Ruth. The rest of his long career consisted mostly of stage work, acting in such Broadway shows as Philadelphia Story, as well as live plays staged for TV. Reilly, 82, died of emphysema July 17.
